Uptown Paws was purpose-built, not converted, not retrofitted. Every room size, every flooring choice, every yard and walking trail was decided with one question: what does this dog actually need? The answers led us to K-9 turf, rubber playroom floors, a quiet off-road location, and suites that fit the dog, not the leftover space.
We’ve been doing this for over a decade – starting with Happy Tails in Eufaula in 2016. And bringing everything we learned to Dothan. We know what works. We know what doesn’t. And, we’ve built a team that holds that standard every single day.

Peace and quiet aren’t just nice – they’re part of the care. Our facility sits in a green space away from busy roads, with no businesses behind us. That means your dog isn’t listening to traffic, noise, or chaos. They’re breathing fresh air, playing on natural turf, and resting in a space that actually feels calm.
8,000 sq ft of K9 Turf. A 4,000 sq ft indoor rubber-floor playroom. A one-acre fenced-in natural area. Covered areas for wet weather. Porte Cochere drop off so nobody – dog or owner – gets rained on.

Our People
Our K9 coaches are trained and not just hired. They understand dog behavior, group dynamics, and what it looks like when a dog is having a great day versus a hard one, and have the freedom to layer in a different level of play based on the dog’s needs. Our team follows a 6-step hiring process that includes a personality assessment and a working interview to help ensure we hire the right person for the right role. Each of our team members passes a 6-hour CPR and First Aid training.
